Special Projects

Over the years I have been continuously talking to customers all around the world and learning about their needs. In doing so, I also occasionally got embedded in their day-to-day projects. By doing this, I closely collaborated with teams of various sizes. Below you will find some of the (publicly available) projects I was involved with.

Quixel - Rebirth

I am super proud to have worked on this cinematic in collaboration with Quixel. My role was to support the extremely talented art team with tools to batch process a large database of assets, as well as developing several other tools which you can see me talk about here.

Epic - Matrix Awakens

Epic developed a phenomenal tech demo showing the newly gained capabilities of Unreal Engine 5. In order to show off what is now possible they wanted to make use of Houdini for a large chunk of the city generation and various FX. SideFX was involved in this project by developing new tools and building support for UE5 with Houdini Engine. My role was being the primary TA contact, and to help the Epic Special Projects team with various tasks ranging from producing new tools used for the fracturing and simulation of glass, building example files as well as consulting on technical issues involving PDG for the generation of the city scape. Read more about the tech used here.

SideFX - Development Support

While working at SideFX I was one of the games champions at the company. In this role I was often looked at by many of SideFX’s customers for solving technical issues they had, as well as building new tools that went into SideFXLabs. In this role I also frequently visited studios in person and occasionally worked very closely with them for longer periods of time. Read more about SideFXLabs here.

ds.Xpress - Hologames

After having won the Tobii Tech Hardware Innovation Award at the Nordic Game Jam, I worked closely with ds.Xpress to become the first company in the world to develop “hologames” for holographic displays made by Realfiction in Denmark. We created several games, including a Star Wars game for Disney. Read more about ds.Xpress here. Read more about Realfiction here.

DreamPunks - The Automatician

The Automatician is a 3-Dimensional puzzle game with an emphasis on immersion. In The Automatician, players will explore a Victorian mansion at their leisure, as well as design and craft Rube Goldberg Machines to solve puzzles and uncover secrets. On this project I was lead for 14 artists. While holding the aesthetic vision of the project, responsibilities included but were not limited to: Task division, Planning & Management, Quality Control and Rapid Prototyping.
